How do I wash and care for my Hawaiian shirt?

Quick answer Most JOGAL Hawaiian shirts list: wash cold (or machine wash cold with similar colors), do not bleach, and use a low iron if needed. Cotton may shrink slightly after washing. Care varies by style, so always check the product page and the care label.

Care instructions are listed on each product page. For most of our Hawaiian shirts they are:

• Wash cold, or machine wash cold with similar colors (for example the Women's Floral Hawaiian Shirt and the Men's Cotton Hawaiian Shirt – Tropical Prints).
• Do not bleach.
• Use a low iron if needed.

The Men's Floral Hawaiian Shirt with Front Pocket (100% polyester) can be machine washed or hand washed cold. Our 100% cotton shirts may shrink slightly after washing, which is why we suggest sizing up if you prefer a looser fit.

As general guidance (not a product instruction), turning printed shirts inside out and air drying in the shade can help keep prints bright, and buttoning the shirt before washing helps it keep its shape.

Sequin and metallic party pieces are different. For example, the Men's Sequin Bomber Jacket says do not machine wash. Always check the care label for the item you own.
